ROAD CLOSURES

Golford Road - 3rd April

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Golford Road from 3rd April with estimated completion by 3rd April.

Golford Road will be closed outside Willow Shaw, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Golford Road, Goddards Green Road, Benenden Road, Cranbrook Road, Tenterden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow pole replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.

Tenterden Road, Cranbrook - 15th April 

It will be necessary to close Tenterden Road, Cranbrook from 15th April for up to 5 days.

The road will be closed from outside Dulwich Prep School to to the District Boarder.

The alternative route is via Golford Road, Bakers Cross, The Hill, St Davids Bridge, Waterloo Road, Wilsley Green, Wilsley Pound, Sissinghurst Road, The Street, Biddenden Road, High Street, Tenterden Road, Benenden Road, Cranbrook Road.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 07:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs each day.

This is to enable urgent carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Water Lane, Hawkhurst - 16th April

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Gigaclear, it will be necessary to close part of Water Lane, Hawkhurst, from 16th April with estimated completion by 23rd April.

Water Lane, Hawkhurst, will be closed outside Gun Green Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A268 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Hawkhurst Road, Water Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow trenching works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

40mph Speed Reduction - Golford Road - 17th April 

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to restrict part of Golford Road, Cranbrook, from 17th April with estimated completion by 17th April.

Golford Road, Cranbrook, will have a mandatory speed limit of 40mph for 150m in either direction outside Springden, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only.

The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce, a mandatory speed limit of 40mph will be in place to allow openreach works to be carried out.

Dingleden - 17th April

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Dingleden from 17th April with estimated completion by 17th April.

Dingleden, Benenden, will be closed south of Ramsden Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dingleden, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 Benenden Road, Sandhurst Lane, Dingleden, Dingleden Farm Road, Dingleden and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow pole testing works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Southern Water, it will be necessary to close part of A262 The Street, Sissinghurst, from 25th April  with estimated completion by 26th April.

A262 The Street, Sissinghurst, will be closed outside Rankins Restaurant, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A262 Sissinghurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound, A229 The Common, A229 Camden Hill, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 High Street, A229 Station Road, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Linton Road, A229 Loose Road, A274 Sutton Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 North Street, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 North Street, A274 High Street, A274 Station Road, A274 Wheeler Street, A274 Biddenden Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 North Street, A262 High Street, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 Biddenden Road, A262 The Street and vice versa.

It will be necessary to close Chalk Lane from 25th April for up to 2 days.

The whole length of the road will be closed, but access will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so.

The alternative route is via Chalk Lane, Glassenbury Road, Goudhurst Road.

This is to enable urgent carriageway repairs to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Flishinghurst Lane, Cranbrook - 26th April

It will be necessary to close Flishinghurst Lane, Cranbrook from 26th April for up to 1 day.

The whole length of the road will be closed, but access will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so.

The alternative route is via Goudhurst Road, Chalk Lane.

This is to enable urgent carriageway repairs to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of The Street, Frittenden, from 2nd May with estimated completion by 2nd May.

The Street, Frittenden, will be closed outside Parsonage Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Headcorn Road, Staplehurst Road, Frittenden Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Camden Hill, A229 The Common, Frittenden Road, Common Road, Frittenden Road, Cranbrook Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.
