TWBC Annual Canvass Update

Every household within the borough has now received an initial Household Enquiry Form and a reminder to check and respond to.

On 23 July 2018 TWBC sent out 49,294 Household Enquiry Forms (HEFs) with a ‘please respond by’ deadline of 8 August 2018. A reminder form was sent out on 20 August with a ‘please respond by’ deadline of 7 September 2018.

So far 36,605 responses, 74%, have been received.

If households have still not responded canvassers are out with the final reminder form asking residents to complete their forms on the doorstep. Canvassers will be out canvassing from 18 September until 6 November 2018.

All canvassers wear their canvasser ID so if anyone is unsure of who they are, they can always ask to see their ID.

TWBC has a legal responsibility to maintain the Electoral Register and review it each year to make sure it has an up-to-date register of electors who are eligible to vote for publication on 1 December 2018.

If residents do not want to complete the form on the doorstep they can ask for the form to be left with them; they can then either post it back in the free reply envelope or respond online at www.householdresponse.com/twbc or on our freephone number 0800 197 9871.
