The census is coming on Sunday 21 March.
The census is for everyone and is a unique survey that happens every 10 years and gives a snapshot of all the people in England and Wales.
By filling in your census, you will help shape your community for the next 10 years, helping inform decisions about services, like healthcare, education and public transport.
Your census information is protected by law. It is a crime for anyone to share your personal information.
Census 2021 will be digital 1st, and in these Covid-19 lockdown times everyone is encouraged to use their computers, laptops or smartphones to complete their Census Questionnaire. Paper questionnaires will be available on request.
There will be a range of support services available. A freephone number, online chat and information email addresses. Guidance in numerous languages. and accessible formats, including large print.
Every household will receive a letter at the beginning of March with their unique access code to enable you to complete the Census online and you can start filling yours in as soon as you receive your code.
